Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)
We distribute linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE / PELBD) for high-strength film, stretch film and industrial bags, from Murcia to the whole of Spain.
Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE, PELBD in Spanish) has a density similar to that of LDPE, but its linear structure gives it much greater puncture, tear and tensile strength.
That is why it allows thinner film to be made with the same strength, and it is the basis of stretch film and industrial bags.
Types
- Blown film
- Industrial bags, heavy-duty sacks and technical film. Grades with slip and antiblock make opening and stacking easier.
- Blends with LDPE
- It is added to LDPE to improve film strength without losing processability.
How to choose the grade
As well as the melt flow index (190 °C / 2.16 kg) and the density, look at the comonomer (butene, hexene or octene: from lower to higher strength) and at the grade's additives.
Available grades
| Product | Type | Melt flow / viscosity | Process | Main use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eleme NGL010FG | Linear low-density polyethylene (butene) | 1.0 g/10 min | Blown film | Stretch film |
| Eleme NGL010FS | Linear low-density polyethylene (butene) | 1.0 g/10 min | Blown film | Automatic packaging |
Frequently asked questions
What is LLDPE used for?
Mainly for film: stretch film, industrial bags, sacks and agricultural film, on its own or blended with LDPE.
